From I-97 take Md RT 100 E toward Gibson Island. Follow all the way to the end and it will merge into MD 177 (Mountain Road) east. Follow approximately 3.1 miles to 4808 Mountain Road on your left just past the entrance to the school complex. Driveway is gated with automatic gate. Press button on pole for easy access.
What's a Dun-Pikin?
Glad you asked! The Holt Family grew produce on the farm for 17 years and sold it at our roadside market on Mountain Road. But now we're done picking produce (Dun-Pikin, get it!) and enjoying our horses instead.

Horseback Riding Lessons
Horseback Riding Lesson openings available. Age 7 through Adult. Client can schedule riding lessons individually as often as desired. Slots are "first come, first serve." No experience necessary. After first lesson evaluation, instruction will be individually adapted. Semi-private (up to 2 riders per session.) Minimum of once weekly sessions are recommended to make progress in riding skills. Our lessons address most aspects of horsemanship. A one hour lesson includes approximately 10 minutes in the beginning to groom, and learn to tack up your horse in preparation to ride, and approximately 5/10 minutes at the end to untack, lightly brush, offer your horse a treat, and put him away. One hour total time. $85/one-hour lesson. Online self-registration below:

PONY PALS
Learn to Ride Age 4-6The pony pal program at Dun-Pikin is very unique. Not many farms will teach riders younger than 7 years of age. We have designed a special program to help prepare younger horse lovers to enter our lesson program. Young aspiring riders (generally age 4 to 6) may enjoy our Pony Pal program. Riders learn about riding, and general horse care at a very basic level and enjoy a lead-line walk under saddle during the 1/2-hour session. $60/half-hour session. Register below:

Unicorn Pony $100We offer a birthday pony party venue here at Dun-Pikin Farm. Non-refundable deposit holds your date. We require a firm final count of anticipated child guests (we don't count adults) one week in advance so we can plan for the help we will need for the pony rides.You get to hold your party at our farm on the chosen date in a two hour time slot (ie between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.) Additional time beyond the basic 2 hour time slot is billed at $200/hour. We provide a grassy field with canopies and picnic tables for you to use and pony rides/petting animals depending on the package chosen. We recommend our pony parties for ages 4 and up. Child weight limit 75 pounds.We also recommend that you chose a rain date as well ( this is included in the deposit cost ) because we do not have any indoor party facilities. If there would happen to be inclement weather on your party date you would reschedule for the raindate.Optional Services include a Unicorn pony (pony is groomed and decorated as a Unicorn.) Fee : $100Included FREE with all our on-farm party packages are our petting farm animals. Ask about our Unicorn pony option. We would be happy to answer any other questions you may have about our pony parties.Beyond the Birthday Party
While we love birthdays, our farm is also a great spot for other small group outings! If you have a unique idea for a personalized visit, we’re open to discussing how to make it happen. HORSE DISCOVERY CAMPS 2026
NOTICE: Registration is already full for our Summer Horse Discovery Camps 2026 in Pasadena, Maryland.
Summer Horse Discovery Camp gives campers the whole horse experience. Every camper will get a riding lesson each day, and an opportunity to ride with others, playing mounted games, and practicing learned skills. Camp also allows campers to learn about and participate in the daily horse chores. Games and crafts will round out the camping experience. No horse experience is necessary. Recommended for age 7 - 14. It's really a lot of fun! Don't miss out.Our Summer Horse Discovery Camps 2025 are:

Looking for the perfect Friday evening plans with the little ones? Katie has put together a brand-new, action-packed event designed just for the younger crowd! Bring the kids out to the farm for two full hours of non-stop, hands-on country fun.When: Friday, June 12th | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

All-You-Can-Ride Pony Rides: Your admission covers as many rides as your child wants! To make sure every kid gets a fair turn, riders will do one lap around the ring at a time whenever there's a line. Parents, guardians, and babies in arms are free!⚠️ Spaces are strictly limited to 25 participants to ensure a relaxed, fun environment with plenty of pony time. Pre-registration is required!🛑 Please Note: This is not a drop-off event. A parent or guardian must stay and supervise their children for the duration of the program.
